Please find below the updated guidelines concerning the Animal Welfare Regulations 2018 (last updated 16 February 2022).
There are some changes in format and requirements, from the initial guidance published in 2018. Any new application or renewal will be assessed against these standards.

- Boarding in a cattery for cats

- Conditions for keeping or training animals for exhibition
- Conditions for hiring out horses
Animal establishment licence application fees
A copy of the council's detailed prices list can be found here.
The fees stated are the total fees payable, except for activities where a vet must be at the inspection. In this instance, the applicant or license holder will need to pay the veterinary fee.

Once the team has confirmed receipt of a full and valid application, you will be contacted to arrange an inspection and an invoice will be sent to you.
