Council tax information 2024-25

Council tax information 2025-26

As well as collecting council tax for the services we provide, we also collect council tax on behalf of other local authorities.

The majority of your council tax goes to Hampshire County Council and a proportion of your council tax also goes to the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Authority and the Police and Crime Commissioner.

There are a number of ways to pay your council tax, including direct debit, online payments, or by post.

If for any reason you are unable to pay your council tax, please let us know as soon as possible.

Business rates information

Commercial businesses contribute to local services through paying business rates, also known as non-domestic rates.

Manage your council tax/business rates online

You can manage your council tax/business rates online by creating a portal account. The portal gives you full access to your council tax/business rates account where you can make payments, notify us of changes and apply for discounts and exemptions.

To register for an account, you will need your account name, email address and business rates reference number.

Please note that the system is unavailable from 6pm to 8pm on weekdays due to routine system maintenance.
