The period following a diagnosis of dementia can be a terribly worrying and confusing time. The key thing that people affected by a diagnosis can do is seek out help from the wide range of support groups that operate in the district.

East Hampshire District Council has worked in collaboration with a number of dementia friendly groups across EHDC to produce a directory for people who have been affected by a recent diagnosis of dementia.

The directory includes:

  • Easy to use advice with checklists to ensure you can keep track of the steps you’ve taken
  • Contact details for many local support groups
