This week we are flying the Armed Forces Day flag over Penns Place to show our support for the brave men and women who do so much to protect our way of life at home and abroad.
Armed Forces Day is on Saturday 24 June and serves as an opportunity for us to say thank you for their incredible work.
It is a national event and authorities up and down the country will be flying the flag in honour of this special day.
Cllr Phil Shaw, EHDC’s Armed forces Champion, said: “As a former serviceman myself I understand how much it means to know that you have the country behind you and it is humbling to see people show their support in this way.
“On behalf of East Hampshire District Council and the people of the district, I would like to say a huge thank you to the brave service men and women who give up so much for our benefit.”
