New Directions is particularly valuable for workers in later life who are looking for new opportunities. And with free bus travel being provided the event is open and accessible to all East Hampshire residents

It is being run by East Hampshire District Council in partnership with the office of Damian Hinds MP and HSDC Alton College.

Cllr Robert Mocatta, EHDC Portfolio Holder for Regeneration and Prosperity, said: “New Directions is a great event for anyone that has been out of the workplace for a while and is struggling to find the confidence or the skills they need to break back in.

“During the pandemic lots of people left work, particularly those in later life, who still have a lot to give their communities.

“By taking simple steps, like getting your CV in order or learning interview skills, you can get back into the world of work.

“Even volunteering is a great way to build up your confidence and give something valuable back to your community and to yourself.”
