Homelessness survey

Take our survey and help us develop our homelessness strategy

We are calling on the community to participate in a crucial survey that will shape the future of our homelessness prevention strategy.

Anyone is welcome to complete the survey but we are especially keen to hear from those who have had experience of homelessness or working with homeless people.

Take our survey

In 2024, 516 households approached the council for assistance due to homelessness or the threat of homelessness.

While rough-sleeping in East Hampshire is very low, homelessness can affect people of all ages and social circumstances.

Half of the households seeking help are families who are unexpectedly threatened with homelessness. Your participation in this survey will help ensure that we can provide the necessary support and prevent more families from facing this crisis.

By taking part in this quick survey, you can help us build a comprehensive and effective strategy which will guide the services we offer over the next few years.

Cllr Adeel Shah, EHDC’s Portfolio Holder for Community Development and Engagement, said: “Homelessness is an important issue that can affect anyone from individuals to families. Please take a few moments to complete the survey and share your thoughts. Your input will directly influence our strategy and help us build a stronger, more supportive homelessness strategy.”

The survey will run until Tuesday 28 January.
