Our Spring Clean campaign clears up

Two-weeks of extra activity, funded by Grow Up, saw almost 100 tonnes of litter and debris cleared from our roads

Our Spring Clean campaign has seen East Hampshire Norse Crews working up and down the district to give East Hampshire a seasonal spruce up.

Over the last two weeks we have cleared over 93 tonnes of litter and debris from roadsides and verges across the district to keep our towns and villages looking clean and tidy.

The campaign is an additional effort on top of the normal, day-to-day maintenance work carried out by Norse crews.

It has been funded by our Grow Up! programme, a special campaign which uses government funding to reconnect people with the countryside.

The extra resource has seen more boots on the ground cleaning up litter, revitalising street planters, sweeping roads and cutting back vegetation across the district.

The Great Spring Clean has given the district a big boost and we will use this momentum to keep it looking good throughout the year.
