The dataset contains polygons for conservation areas within the East Hampshire and the area covered by the Southdown’s National Park within East Hampshire. Conservation areas are those areas identified by the Local Planning Authority as having special architectural or historic interest which merits designation.

Article4 direction areas
The dataset contains polygons for article 4 direction areas within the East Hampshire and the area covered by the Southdown’s National Park within East Hampshire. An article 4 direction is a direction under article 4 of the General Permitted Development Order which enables the Secretary of State or the local planning authority to withdraw specified permitted development rights across a defined area.

Statutory listed buildings
East Hampshire District Council
The dataset contains polygons/Linear features for statutory listed buildings within the East Hampshire area and the area covered by the Southdown’s National Park within East Hampshire. These are buildings, objects or structures and Linear features such as walls, considered to be of special architectural or historic interest, which need to be preserved for future generations. The list is compiled by the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport following advice from Historic England.
Tree preservation orders schedule items
East Hampshire District Council
The dataset contains polygons and points for Tree Preservation Order Schedule Items within the East Hampshire area and the area covered by the Southdown’s National Park within East Hampshire. Tree Preservation Orders are made by the local planning authority to protect specific trees, groups or areas of trees or woodlands in the interests of public amenity – and formal consent is required for pruning or removing a tree so protected.
