Host thank you payments and funding tariffs

Lord Khan has written to all local authority leaders and chief executives. The letter was published on Tuesday 26 November and outlines changes to the thank you payments and funding tariffs at a national level.

For the third year, Hampshire County Council has decided locally to increase thank you payments for all hosts to £500 per month, regardless of how long their guests have been staying with them.

Nationally, the Government is setting payments at £350 per month for those hosts who provide accommodation to guests who have arrived in the country less than 12 months ago, and £500 for hosts of guests who have been in the UK for over 12 months.

Hampshire County Council are currently reviewing the Governments flat rate of £350 per month during the UPE visa period following the latest announcement and will confirm in due course the monthly thank you payments for eligible hosts for the 18 months their guests are covered by the UPE scheme.
