Barnardo's refugee family helpline
Barnardo's has a refugee family helpline to provide emotional and practical support
as well as advice and signposting to children, young people and their families seeking sanctuary in the United Kingdom.

The helpline is open Monday to Friday 10am-8pm and Saturday 10am-3pm
Ukrainian virtual youth space
Ukrainian young people aged 10-17 can meet new friends whilst having fun at the Ukrainian virtual youth space, organised by Barnardo's.
6-7pm on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday and Thursday of every month throughout 2024.
Sessions will be delivered by Barnardo's Refugee Family Helpline. For more

Hampshire Learns Employability Courses - Summer 2024
The new summer courses for 2024 are now available to book.
Hampshire Learns adult learning courses are FREE OF CHARGE and fully funded for eligible learners living in Hampshire aged 19+ via Hampshire County Council’s Adult Education & Skills Budget.
Courses include:
- working in childcare
- CV writing
- developing your confidence
- driving theory workshops
- English for speakers of other languages (ESOL)

Saturday 6 July - 10am-4pm
Join us for a fun day all about bikes! Improve your skills with some tips from our expert coaches, test out both adult and kids bikes from some great brands and much more.

Free soft play and climbing wall sessions
Everyone Active is offering free soft play and Top Rock (climbing wall) sessions at Alton Sports Centre and soft play sessions at the Taro Centre in Petersfield on Saturdays.
Choose from the following sessions:
Soft play (up to 12 years old) 10-11am at the Taro Centre
- Saturday 8 June
- Saturday 13 July
- Saturday 10 August
- Saturday 14 September
- Saturday 12 October
Soft play (10-11am) or Top Rock (11am-12noon) at Alton Sports Centre
- Saturday 25 May
- Saturday 29 June
- Saturday 27 July
- Saturday 31 August
- Saturday 28 September
No pre-booking is required. Simply turn up and have some fun!
Ukraine Football Club - Active8Minds
4.30-5.30pm every Friday during school term time on the 3G pitches at The Petersfield School, GU32 3LU.
Ukraine Football Club will be running from Friday 24 May - Friday 19 July, exclusively for Ukrainian children aged 7-12 years old.
To book:
- Visit https://active8.wraparoundcarebooking.co.uk/account/login and register an account. Please enter the child's school and school year when registering, or the booking system may not work.
- Search 'Ukrainian Football Club' in the search bar.
- Select 'Every Friday' and then complete the booking.
This will then book you in for the following sessions: 24 May, 7 June, 14 June, 21 June, 28 June, 5 July, 12 July, 19 July.
