Our objectives
In this section of the strategy, our goals are to:
- Make new and existing homes in East Hampshire as energy efficient as possible
- Increase renewable energy provision and storage in East Hampshire
- Supporting East Hampshire businesses to improve energy efficiency
- Support communities to improve energy performance of community buildings
Make new and existing homes in East Hampshire as energy efficient as possible
We’re doing this by:
- Encouraging people who are eligible (mainly low-income families) to apply for a grant through the Warmer Homes scheme
- Providing COSY loans to households that do not qualify for grant schemes, when funds are available
- Encouraging higher standards of energy efficiency in new homes through our Local Plan
