Taking part in physical activity is a key component of maintaining good health and wellbeing. Yet, many of us struggle to exercise regularly.
Get Up and Go project
The Get Up and Go project funds new, accessible, sport and exercise classes in the community, helping to break down the barriers that keep us from being more active.
We hire experienced, qualified instructors who excel at creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for everyone to enjoy.
The sessions take place at venues in the heart of local communities, to ensure easy access for all.
Our instructors target their sessions towards beginners so that anyone can join, regardless of their level of experience or ability.
All classes are subsidised to minimise the cost of participation, with most of our sessions costing in the range of £5 per session.
Here’s a snapshot of some of the classes we currently have on offer (classes change regularly):
- A free 7-week introduction to Nordic Walking course
- Dementia Friendly Walking Football
- Back to Netball
- Beginners Yoga
- Chair Pilates
- Dance for Fitness
