UK Parliamentary General Election - 4 July 2024
The UK Parliamentary General Election is taking place this week on Thursday 4 July 2024.
Voters in England need to show photo ID to vote at a polling station. Accepted forms of photo ID can be found on the Electoral Commission website. You only need to show one form of ID and it must be the original version. If your photo ID is no longer in date, it can still be used as long as it still looks like you and your name is the same as when you registered to vote.
Polling stations will be open from 7am–10pm. If you’re in the queue at 10pm (with photo ID) you will be allowed to vote.
